The room was clean, breakfast was very good. The only pain point was the in-app check in and check out. I used the app to check in, indicating that I would be arriving around 10pm. I arrived at the hotel at that time, checked the app for the room assignment, and attempted to follow the in-app instructions to go straight to my room. The front desk stopped me immediately asking for ID. I provided it and continued to my room. I thought it was odd because the app doesn’t mention needing to check in with the frost desk. If that is the case, the in-app instructions should be updated. Also, I already knew my room assignment and the front desk woman announced my room number aloud. Every hotel I’ve stayed at, whether with others or solo, the room number is not said aloud they just point to the key card holder. There was another person at the front desk so this felt like a drop in security. It was the same odd experience for check out. I utilized the app to check out and was attempting to walk out and was again immediately stopped by the front desk. They told me I already checked out on the app and was emailed my receipt, which I already knew, so the interaction appeared unnecessary. Overall, I think there is misalignment with the front desk staff and the app. I understand the security of it all and appreciate the front desk not letting anyone up to the rooms without knowing they are a guest. But it was an odd experience and I’m unsure of what prompted them to stop me. It’s confusing when you are trying to follow one set of instructions and then being stopped as if you’re doing something wrong. Overall, the hotel is clean and was a good choice for my quick stay in the area.
From check in to check out, everything was great. Ms. Rose checked me in and out, great personality, professional, warm, and knowledgeable. I did not have a reservation but I was taken care off quickly. Room has nice amenities like a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, iron and ironing board. Spacious, comfortable bed was comfortable and clean, housekeeping team members do a superb job. Breakfast bar, wow! Two different types of eggs, sausage, potatoes, cold and hot cereal, waffles, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels. So much and it was all pretty tasty. Location also had a pool, small gym, laundry, yoga, and work station. I highly recommend this location, top notch service. And if you happen to meet Rose, tell her that Steve from Utah says Hello. Looking forward to my next stay. Thank you all.
Stayed here with a friend during a festival. Rooms are newer renovated and clean. Beds are comfortable and not “broken in” like some hotels. Staff is helpful and available. Gym is a decent size and good mix of equipment and the pool is large. Plentiful parking. Would recommend if you’re in the area looking for a clean, reasonable room.
This hotel seems to be a bit cleaner than other Hampton Inn's. The bad news is that this hotel is located a few blocks off HGWY 111 and adjacent to a drainage canal and behind an Arco. The good news is that both middle aged women at the front desk go out of their way to welcome guests. Their attention to detail in making sure guests have specific instructions on getting to your room is over the top wonderful and a pleasant surprise, not to mention their excellent and accurate knowledge of local restaurants and directions.
